if I understood that correctly, they're using the network antennae to spread the "mind control", so having a cell phone or not isn't important.

Correct, it's in the "ether". A Faraday cage around your head is the only answer. Anybody have a tinfoil lined hat? Or a wire-mesh balaclava connected to an earth-spike on your heel?
Somehow, I don't think it is worth worrying about any more....

If this turned into any sort of serious discussion I'd suggest asking a higher power to move it to an actual forum, but I guess the odds of that are slim.
I must admit it pisses me off a bit that people fall for this sci-fi crap when the actual methods of molding young minds and "controlling" huge masses of people using fear and misinformation are right in front of everyone.
