Four rules of resistance... in easy to understand metaphors:

1) Keep the flame under the stew pot on high.

2) Stir the pot often.

3) Always add new ingredients   

4) Always keep the secret ingredients, secret.

Counter measures are oft times variations of what one's foe is using... it's that 'fighting fire with fire' thing and so, when much of what they do is to create confusion then the counter measure is to create some confusion too.

Never assume, suppose, presume and/or guess that something is true and correct for in times of battle, chaos reigns.

What have you witnessed? What is still taking place? Which part of the 'play' are we in? Is there more to follow or is it at its end?

When chaos reigns, straight talk may seem like bullshit and so, bullshit may seem like straight talk.  How hard and how serious one plays, determines when the game will eventually end. Play loose and half-heartedly and the game drags on for seemingly ever, play hard and seriously and the game finishes promptly.

Were you playing or just watching? If just watching, what did you see? Did you see something like the metaphor as described above? If so, then you are indeed watching a game being played seriously hard.  Those that are playing the game are getting a charge.

A rhyme...

In the pot went the water, just as fresh as can be.
Then some ingredients were added you see.
And when the water began to boil because the heat was high,
others entered the game, others like you and I.

In went more ingredients as the pot boiled on.
Stirring caused the stew to seem like a con.
Much of what went in wasn't edible in the least.
Just some counter measures thrown at the beast.

And as the stew became thick with all that was thrown in,
it gave the sleepy minded the means to wake up again.
Some were on the wrong side and finally saw the light.
They joined the others who are on the side of right.

Now the stew is so thick that one can hardly stir it.
Because in the stew was thrown so much bullshit.
Now when the pot is finally emptied to start another stew,
It'll simply mean that it's time to start life anew.
