I have a question only, why do people have to pay for services such as channelling to other beings, healing the mind and body etc....?
There are websites all over saying they want to help you acend however they ask for money for their services. I just dont understand this concept of "helping"how do they expect people who live in proverty to pay for services?
thanx

If you want your dentist or doctor or teacher or shoemaker
top perform a service to you
do you expect that servent to feed his children during his lifetime?
do you expect him to put gas in his car and drive his children and wife to where ever?
why are spiritually gifted supposed to provide for the masses and empty thier ashtrays and sweep up thier dirt and have infinate patience and answer all of thier questions and open thier books to every questioner?
perhaps the ones that would help the impovershed are as difficult to see amongst the impovershed
as the reasons for the impovershedment
why is it that the impovershed think the ones they want to channel for them are the ones that they need?
**** editing to highlight the way that I learned ****
I studied and became a massage therapist because I was enchanted with healing abilities
and a massage license was easy to get
and offered an arena to do what I do
I payed license fees and bought supplies and prepared a place to operate from
I had this silly little idea of giving myself away
oh I got paid well by many who appreciated
but many many were given huge discount
long long hours of counsel
I prepared many packets of info for giveaways
and I saw many allow the miraculous into thier lives
and came the day I decided there was too much outgo and not enough income
I gave up my license found other employment to feed my face and house my body
I still do what I do
but feel no compulsion to serve on demand
when my spirit urges
I offer what I can
but the only one I "owe" services to is myself
and that is the way it is
thus I have decided
because of what I learned
make your choises by your own reasons, haida40, but others make thier choises by thier reasons also

hi,
Im sorry I just can not grasp this idealogy.
You cant buy spirituality, it is a sad the way this world works,
Its like this world works backwards and since I live in this world, I too, must follow these backwards rules.
What would happen if one day basic food and shelter were provided for everyone including clothing and transportation, would you stop performing services because these things were now provided? Or would you still perform services because it gives you satisfaction and joy?
We are all spirituality gifted!

exactly
the person who sewed your clothes in the factory is spiritually gifted with life that alows you to wear clothes
and by buying clothes you alow that person to have a beer or whatever with the use of your spirit of life
everything manifest is created of spirit thus spiritual

of course, that is why I do it now
but I never knew it was possible to "BUY spirituality
what you would get from channellers or healers is thier particular services
the spirituality you have to create yourself for yourself
if you need the services of someone outside of you to do that perhaps you are creating the need to manifest the means to get what they have

I have long known we are approaching a time where cash and gold money would no longer exist
I have never been under the delusion that energy doesnt actually have to be used to live life

lol...:-)
I said you "cant" buy spirituality...as in "can not"
I agree, with what you said that there will be a time when basic necessities will be provided and when that time comes, it will be much easier to see the bigger picture of life.

Hello everyone.
Hare Krishna.
I throught I would respond to this posting thread as to my experience, I can not speak for anyone but myself.
I have been involved for many years in doing healing work.
I ask for a fee for my time and training and experience.
I GAVE my time to many and thus I was not able to keep my office and home.
I offer channeled messages on my site and blog for anyone to read, but NOW I understand that when it comes to spending time with a client I have learned that it serves the client and myself to ask for an exchange of energy.
As I see now, as I am living without a home or office, if I am to do LIGHTWORK I do need to have a roof and computer access, telephone. Those services ask me for an exchange of money.
I am not selling spirituality, the client comes to me with his/her spirituality. I am asking for an exchange of energy/a fee exchange so that I can be HERE when the client needs my care.
Perhaps in days gone by, the healers were able to live in huts or caves and the population always supported those mystics, nowadays we have to ask.
If you check out my personal blog 'EarthBase Transmissions' you will see a very personal look at my process.
Blessings to all.

Beautifully put. You're not selling spirituality.
I would also add that an exchange of money for services received equalizes the contract and engages the client from the get go in the healing process. Speaking for myself, I'm not comfortable as a supplicant, feeling that I'm receiving charity.
People tend to devalue something that's "free". There's been some interesting research done that if even a small overnight camping fee is charged at public parks, people leave cleaner campsites.
